    Capt. Jason E. Holbrook, a Class of 2004 graduate, was killed July 29 in Tsagay, Afghanistan when the vehicle he was riding in hit an improvised explosive device.

    The Green Beret, Ranger and Special Forces Soldier deployed as part of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan, and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

    Michael Billig, 81, of Milford, Pa., passed away on May 18 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cornwall. Billig worked as a tour guide at West Point for more than 10 years.     Col. John M. McHugh, Class of 1986, was one of five Soldiers killed May 18 in Kabul, Afghanistan, after enemy forces attacked their convoy with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
