  • Transfer McCarty part of something special in pool

    The 2010 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships take place today through Saturday in Annapolis, Md., and, unlike the past couple of seasons, Army is entering the championships after a strong regular season.

  • Combat Weapons Team heads to All-Army Championship

    The Combat Weapons Team is set to defend its title at the All-Army Small Arms Championship, hosted by the Army Marksmanship Unit, at Ft. Benning, Ga., this weekend. Last year, the team beat the defending champions from the Small Arms Readiness Group.

  • Free rope skipping clinic Saturday

    Prior to performing at the Army-Navy basketball doubleheader, the national champion Bouncing Bulldogs International Rope Skipping Team will host its second free clinic at West Point. The clinic is open to children ages 18 and under and will run from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

    Yearling Kelly Buck captured medalist honors in smallbore and was runner-up in air rifl e as Army’s rifl e team upset Navy, 5770-5738, at Bancroft Hall Feb. 8, in the annual “Star” match that was rescheduled due to serve weather in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

  • Kyler earns second EIWA Championship

    Add Firstie Matt Kyler’s name to the list of two-time EIWA champions.

     Kyler won his second Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championship with a 5-3 win over Bucknell’s Kevin LeValley Sunday at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa.

     A four-time EIWA finalist, Kyler captured his second championship and will wrestle for the fourth time at the NCAA Championships in two weeks.

  • Junior Alpine Team skis last race in 2010

    Forty-six members of the West Point Junior Alpine Ski Team ran its last race of the season March 6 at the Victor Constant Ski Slope.

    The WPJAST was established in 2003 when retired Lt. Col. Bill Adams, Col. Tyge Ruggenstein from the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School and Corina Morano-Ender created the team.
