  • Ultimate Frisbee Sign-ups

    The 2010 Staff and Faculty Noontime Ultimate Frisbee sign-ups are ongoing.

    The FMWR Sports Office will conduct the league as play starts Aug. 16.

    Teams that want to enter, contact Jim McGuinness at 938-3066 or e-mail him at jim.mcguinness@usma.edu.

    Deadline for entries is Aug. 2.

    Games will start at 12:15 p.m. Monday-Friday. All games will be played at the River Courts or Target Field.

  • Volleyball announces Class of 2014 recruits

    Two-time Patriot League Volleyball Coach of the Year Alma Kovaci announced the addition of seven players to her roster July 15.

    The Class of 2014 represents seven different states and will add significant depth to an already formidable returning corps of players as the Black Knights look to defend their Patriot League title in 2010.

  • Heskett named new Army wrestling head coach

    Joe Heskett, a four-time All-American, national champion and former U.S. World Team member who spent the past four years as an assistant at Ohio State University, has been named the head wrestling coach at Army, Athletics Director Kevin Anderson announced July 7.

    Heskett, a 2001 graduate of Iowa State University, replaces Chuck Barbee, who resigned following his 10th season to pursue other interests.

  • Maisano earns PL Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year

    The list of honors for recent West Point graduate Andrew Maisano grew again July 6 as the 2010 lacrosse captain was named the Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
